You can enjoy this ride as a loop or stay on the New River Trail the entire time. The loop option offers an exploration of both bike trails and casual neighborhood riding through greenbelts and ponds. Enjoy the ride!

1. Check Your Helmet

Ensure it fits snugly and is securely fastened.

2. Inspect the Bike

Check tires for proper inflation, brakes for responsiveness, and the battery for a full charge.

3. Adjust Your Seat

Make sure the seat height is comfortable for you.

4. Bring Essentials

Water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a map.

5. Know the Rules

Familiarize yourself with local biking rules and routes.

New River Trail at Fletcher Heights | Peoria, AZ

Ride the 14 mile Loop

This route starts you out heading South on the New River Trail.
Cruise down the New River Trail until you reach Rio Vista Park.
Cross the Bridge at Rio Vista Park and Head North (The direction in which you were coming from)
Continue onto the Skunk Creek Trail all the way to 75th Avenue.
Go Under the Bridge, Ride Across the Wash, Pass the Apartment Complex, and Continue on the Skunk Creek Trail.
Stay On Skunk Creek Trail all the way until you pass under Union Hills Dr.
Follow the path towards W. McRae Way.
Turn Left on W. Julie Dr.
Turn Right on 63rd Avenue and Follow it until you reach an intersection, turn right on N 63rd Ave
Turn Right on 63rd Avenue and Follow it until you reach an intersection, turn right on N 63rd Ave
Follow N 63rd Ave until you reach the Freeway, Take the bike/walking path over the bridge.
Continue on N 63rd Ave until your each W. Arrowhead Loop and turn Left.
Cross the road at 67th Avenue and Arrowhead Loop Rd.
Follow Arrowhead Loop to the 71st ave and Deer Valley Intersection. Continue Straight through the intersection.
Turn Left on Hillcrest Blvd.
Find the Bike path at the bend of Hillcrest Blvd.
Follow the bike path under the overpass and you should be back at the Fletcher Heights Trailhead.

20.8 Mile Route (New River Trail to Park West & Back)

Ride the 14 mile Loop

This route starts you out heading South on the New River Trail.
Cruise down the New River Trail for about 10.4 Miles until you reach Northern Ave
Take the path to the right that takes you the the main street of Northern Ave.
Head Left (east) on Northern for a few moments and you will arrive at Park West.
To Head Back, simply Take Northern back to the trailhead and cruise North for 10.4 miles.

This is an excellent route to get Lunch and Refreshments at Park West mid ride.
